2012.. probably the best year in my life i would say.. so many things have happened.. so many people have come and gone in my life.. so many new experiences.. the loss of a very dear person in my life from this world and so the list continues.. its pretty long... and im pretty sure its the same for the world out there too.. from jumps from the space to tragedies and of course Gangnam Style... its pretty eventful too... well i havnt blogged as much as the last year in this year.. mainly probably coz i was too busy.. sooo many things in my life to take care of.. so many events.. gosh.. started off the year with cousins and relatives like in the past few years.. and then the next few days went on to become very dramatic in my life.. a certain event that only very close frnds of mine wud knw of.. and then took a shap 90 o turn thanks to some awesome friends in my life and to some new friends that i found through volunteering and what not..  some of the most interesting/remem...

its been a looooooooong time.. a very very long time since ive put an update on whats been happening with me and my beautiful steady unstable awesome super duper life.. :) to be precise nearly 8-9 months i guess.. and trust me, there's a preeeeeeeeeeeeeety lot thats happened over the last few months... life's been good i wud say.. kinda treated me well and with a bit of fairness compared to other times.. I may have taken one or two bad decisions over the time, but i know i certainly did take one particular decision that i know i will regret for quite a long time.. :) but then past is past.. time to more on i say..  V awards, exams, assignments, festivals, parties, tours, first family trip abroad, colombo+20, cricturf, connect, youth day, cgye, new friends, new experiences, new responsibilities, revelations, and omg.. the list just keeps going on.. Im sure everyone probably knows what V Awards is by now.. if not, just find the post i did about v awards somewhere in...

OMG!!!! What can I say.. Im actually speechless... missed the live coverage of the Opening Ceremony yesterday and after some time searching on the web finally found a good recorded version of it and just finished watching it!!! AND NOW IM SPEECHLESS!!! WHAT AN OPENING CEREMONY IT WAS!!! one ceremony that ive watched which was complete... Matched or probably exceeded the standards set by the 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony in China two years ago!!! it was wonderful.. the music, the choreography, the dance, the rhythms, the lights, the fireworks, the... what can I say... it was complete.. everything in place with very very few errors!!!! every culture that I know that existed in India plus even more were showcased!!! im just out of words to express what I saw in the video!! imagine, its so spectacular watching it on video.. how would it have been to watch it live sitting inside the stadium!!! WOW!! that is one experience that I someday want to have!! Let me give my comments on the cere...

Commonwealth Games... a multi-sport even organized once in every 4 yrs by the Commonwealth Games Federation where teams from member nations of the Commonwealth of Nations participate. Most of the nations are those that were ruled by the British Monarch in the past. 54 countries are members of the Commonwealth of Nations but around 70+ teams usually participate in the games as certain independent states of countries send in separate teams. By now anyone reading this article probably knows that the latest edition of this games is to be held in New Delhi in India starting on the 3rd of October n goes on for almost 2 weeks after which the Commonwealth Para Games will begin in the same venue. With less than a few days more to go for the Opening Ceremony, so much controversy has surrounded the sporting event!!! Infrastructure Problems, Health Problems, Accommodation, and mainly Corruption and many more..  During the last few weeks there i havent seen a single day pass by without a news ...

hello again... after a long time im posting in here... so after 64 games being played in a time span of 31 days, the FIFA World Cup 2010 comes to an end with Spain being crowned as champions... the first Safari football world cup and the second third world cup to be held in South Africa the first being the Rugby World Cup held back in 1995 and then the Cricket World Cup in 2003... well coming back to the topic, this world cup has been one world cup that the whole world will remember for a long time.. controversies, disappointments, tragedies, and you name it, it probably will have something to do with this edition of the world cup... 32 teams competed for the FIFA World Cup Trophy... and one team emerge as the winners with the Trophy and US$ 30 million as prize money.... on a personal view, before the tournament started, my prediction was that it would be Brazil and Argentina who would play the finals but then it was disappointment for me at the quarter finals.. but what to do....

So so so.... it has been a T20 season all around... first a month long IPL, then a half month long World Cup... with exams on next week, found jst enuf time to enjoy the cricket too... Exams or not, there's always time for cricket u c... n e way, after around 2 weeks of play, we are now on the eve of the 3rd ICC T20 world cup... and wat a season it has been... some of the most unpredictable events have occurred.. any way as a sri lankan, disappointed that we cud not get into the finals, and then as an asia yet again disappointed that not a single asia country was able to get into the finals!!! damn... wat a blow to the cricketing continent.... last two years winners were asians and an asian nation could not get into the finals at least in the 3rd year... reason??? OH THERES SOO MUCH... ill take each country in order of exit from the tournament... Afghanistan yes.. u heard me correct.. Afghanistan.. the champions of the World T20 qualifier... another asian country... playe...
